Communications Consent

This page describes the business communication choices offered during the AOR Wound-Care Readiness Assessment™ and how each choice is recorded.

This document is for qualified healthcare providers and organizations. It does not create a provider-patient relationship and does not claim HIPAA compliance or certification of any kind.

Business email communications

With your optional consent, AOR may send business email relating to your inquiry, your readiness profile, program information and relevant educational material. Email consent is recorded separately from other channels.

Telephone communications

With your optional consent, an AOR representative may contact the business telephone number you provide to discuss your inquiry and arrange a consultation. Telephone consent is recorded separately.

SMS communications

SMS messages are sent only where separate express written consent has been given. The SMS option is always presented unchecked and is never bundled with email or telephone consent.

  • Consent to receive SMS is not required as a condition of any purchase or of receiving services, where applicable law so provides.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Message frequency may vary.
  • Reply STOP to opt out of SMS at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS sending is not active. No message is dispatched until AOR completes carrier registration and final legal review.

Transactional versus marketing communications

Transactional messages relate directly to a request you initiated — for example, confirming a submitted assessment or responding to a consultation request. Marketing messages promote AOR programs, products or events. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop necessary transactional messages relating to an active request.

Consent logging and versioning

Each choice is stored with the consent type, the exact version identifier of the consent language presented, the granted or declined status, the timestamp, the assessment reference, the source of the consent and a one-way hashed representation of the originating network address with a short user-agent summary.

Consent language is maintained as versioned records so that AOR can update notices without changing application code, and so that the exact wording shown at the time of consent can be reproduced.

Withdrawing consent

Consent may be withdrawn at any time for any channel by replying STOP to an SMS, using the unsubscribe control in an email, or contacting AOR through the contact section of this website. Withdrawal is recorded as a new versioned consent event.
